L4 4.2 - 7 Font issue, maybe?

I was looking at the Gospel of Mark in the Cornerstone Series- and found this in reference to 1:1-

is this a font issue- or the way it was intentionally displayed?

It is intended as it repeats the words gospel (of) Jesus Christ (the) Son (of) God used in some early Greek manuscripts. The nomina sacra are the overlined words. Son of God, ΥΥ ΘΥ, is the disputed phrase. Someone more familiar with Greek might explain why ΕΥΑΓΓΕΛΙΟΥ (εὐαγγελίου) is included (because its ending ΟΥ is similar to the sacred name?).
