Bible Search missing right-click options

When results are returned in a bible search, both the reference and the text of the verse are returned. These results can be arranged by what Logos terms "Grid, Verses, Aligned or Analysis". When in "Grid" mode, a right-click on the verse reference displays a full set of options to deal with the verse as expected. However, in any of the other arrangements (i.e. Verses, Aligned, Analysis) these options are not available.

Update: This is by design. The Bible reference links in the Verses view are hard-coded links to a specific version, not generic Bible references, so they show a different menu. If you right-click a box in the Grid view (which is also a hard-coded link), it will look more like the context menu when right-clicking in Verses view.

Please Melissa, don't take this personally...this is a general rant because I'm generally pleased with logos software.

"this is by design?" Shouldn't all verse links respond the same way? This is very inconsistent.

Wherever there is a bible verse, one should be able to copy the verse regardless of the version it points to.

The program clearly knows both the reference and the version information, otherwise it would not be able to link to the version and reference. Why don't you allow us to copy it, passage guide it, etc.? If I right-click on KJV, I should get that, If I right-click on esv I should get that.

Copying any bible reference should never be more than a right-click
away...

I have 15$ bible software that makes it easy to copy verses. Anywhere you right click there is always a "Copy verse" option.

I know logos is more than simple bible software, but we should have figured out the basics long ago.

I don't mean to complain, but my motto for logos is becoming..."making difficult things easy and making easy things difficult"

Please do your best to "undesign" this.

Where are you not seeing a Copy option to copy the Bible reference? That is available on the context menu from any of the search result views.

I think I'm agreeing with CoramDeo here. Even in grid view, the link is to a specific version, and the menu has a "Bible" tab with all the functions available.

Yet, in Verses view, the link is also to the specific version, but there is no "Bible" tab in the menu. Why should there be a difference?

That's correct, only the reference itself can be copied from the context menu in Verses or Aligned view, not the text of the passage. The other alternatives at this time are 1) click on the link to open the Bible, and copy the passage text from the Bible's context menu; 2) paste the reference into Word and replace it with the passage through Logos Smart Tags; or 3) use Copy Bible Verses.

I know these methods involve one or more additional steps. I will make a note in the case about the copy issue.

Try Print/Export (Ctrl+P) from the tab's menu (click the small down arrow beneath the Search icon)

Peter ... it's a whole lot faster to first do the search in Logos4; make sure the desired results.

Then literally move over to Libronix, and repeat the search. You can then do in-search finds, copies, etc.

I'll be happy when Libronix exits from beta; I think they're on 'g' currently. It's THAT GOOD!

I was going to recommend Bob try to competitively hire some of the Libronix developers. I don't know if that'd be legal.

Apparently some of them even had Mac experience. Bob's got it tough, when he's up against Libronix. I hope he can survive.

Logos 4.5 Beta 7 has right click option to copy verse from Grid results (still missing from Verses and Aligned):

““Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5, ESV)

Learned Logos 4.5 Beta 7 on Windows has a couple grid bugs:

Bug 1: screen shows NLT to be copied, paste shows highest prioritized Bible (ESV) was copied.

Bug 2: in Bible grid, if click 1901 ASV, right click shows copy from Bible (KJV).
