Unable to complete reading from reading plan

I have noticed that when my reading for the day from my reading plan happens to end with a superscript character for a footnote that I am unable to select the "Mark Read" link.  Instead when I select this link the footnote appears instead of marking the reading complete.  See screenshot below.  I am accessing the mobile site with my HTC Evo, using Android 2.2 and the built-in browser.
