b7 program stopped responding after trying to change home page options

After turning on the extra information on home page for a gander at what Logos is doing with it, my previous convictions were confirmed that it has no place in bible study software IMHO so decided to turn it off again.. however when in the process of unticking the options I wanted to remove I got the program stopped responding scenario.
