The only con that I can think of would be the space it takes up locally.  I've chosen to only load the 3 items I use most often in offline mode.  I'm always hitting my iPhone storage limit however and I'm almost always online either via wifi of 3g.  If you have enough space and you aren't online all the time then it probably makes sense to have more items available offline.

Dong, there is a new version of the app that will be out in the near future.  When it comes out, you will need to download all books at that time... even the ones that you have already downloaded.  My advice would be to download just the ones that you really need now, and then download the others when the new version comes out.  Although we do not know when it will be out, and I am not part of logos any more than the rest of you, my guess is that it will be sometime in the next 3 or 4 weeks by the sounds of things since it is now in beta testing.  I hope that this helps.

I have downloaded almost all available books on my ipod and it's great.  I am experiencing a lot of freezing on the app - it freezes up for about 20-30 seconds but then finally responds.  I don't know if it is because I have hundreds of resources on it, or if it is just the app.  They are currently re-vamping the app and because it is a thorough upgrade, it will require you to download all your resources again.  So, you may want to just download a few that you use the most and wait until the new version comes out before download everything.  (Not sure how long it will be before we see the new version released...)

I recommend you download your preferred Bible and any other books you use frequently. Version 1.5 will be faster with downloaded books. Apple's app review process makes release dates hard to predict, but you can expect to see 1.5 probably sometime in the next two weeks.

That is exciting news! I understand from Bob's post that we aren't going to get all the goodness we want out of v 1.5 but it seems that it will be the beachhead that launches the Logos APP past the competition! So looking forward to it's approval.
