The Works of Thomas Goodwin have been on pre-pub "Almost there!" for quite some time now. It would be really great to see some movement and get these into production. Now that Baxter is almost with us (3rd Dec, I think), maybe you could consider Goodwin.
Goodwin was highly influential in the Westminster Assembly, holding out for the Congregationalist view, and playing a key role in the development of the Westminster Confession. Later, he worked with John Owen in producing the Savoy Declaration.
Goodwin held a fairly distinct view of the sealing of the Spirit in Ephesians 1:13, which he often linked with 1 Pe 1:8 and 'joy unspeakable.' In this he differeed from Calvin and Owen, although there are suggestions that Owen moved closer to Goodwin later on.
Interestingly, Goodwin represents the kind of view that was later held by Martyn lloyd-Jones.
Well, that's my plug - please help to get these into production, by placing a pre-pub order.
Thanks!
