i have several books like Spurgeon's Treasury of David on logos 3.0 that do not appear in logos 4.0. How do i fix this problem? Thanks, JC
JC,
I assume from your post that you have Logos 3 installed. If so be sure to synchronize licenses in Logos 3 over the Internet. Once that is done, give Logos some time to update your license file and then restart Logos 4. It should recognize your licenses and download the resources.
Second option: call Customer Service with the license information for the resource you want to have unlocked in Logos 4 and they can do that for you.
All your Logos 3 resources should show up in Logos 4 (except PBBs at this point) if you have synched licenses in L3.
In addition to Mark's great advice I would only add that you need to use the same user ID in both versions for this to work. If you changed your user ID, then a call to support would be required to transfer the license to your new user ID.
Customer service fixed this problem easily with this answer ...
Below are the steps so that you can Scan the Resources that are on the disc into Logos 4 without waiting for them to download from the web:
Sign in to Logos 4 (off-line) Open Logos 4
· In the Command Field at the top, type Scan ??:\ (??=exact path where books are located)
· press Enter
· restart Logos
At this point you should get a message that Logos 4 is “Preparing your library” which indicates it is copying books. Once it is finished, it will index them automatically and then you should be good to go.
Please note: if you are using Windows 7 or Vista, “My Computer” will just be called “Computer”. Also, if you are copying books from an external hard drive or flash stick, you will want to find the exact path to the resources.
