Steve, do you see your books in the library, more than just the 60-some all users get? If not, check that you're signed in. You can also try signing out and signing in again. I don't usually recommend that unless there's a problem with the app recognizing that you're signed in.

Any idea when they are going to fix the NASB MacArthur Study Bible? Fortunately, I also have the NKJV version so I can still use it offline.

Mark, thanks for the info, I did end up calling and getting a refund. On top of that I also found most of the books in that collection on Amazon for the kindle app for free or at most .99 cents. That's like a 90% savings.
Is there a quick way to see all of your offline resources without having to browse the entire library?

The only way is to disconnect your internet connection, by going into flight mode on an iPhone (or just switching WiFi off on the iPod).

This is one of the problems, Logos for example sells a copywrited version of Matthew Henry, something published over 200 years ago. What makes Hendrikson's edition better than the regular editions I can not say other than I assume spelling and punctuation are probably standardized. The Publisher is refusing to let them make this available in the cloud.
Did Logos choose the copywrite version for ease of conversion to Logos or because it could charge more. I honestly do not know. Because Logos choose to implement their mobile app as a cloud device is the real reason we have fewer items. If it had implemented a lite version of reader that allowed us to sync what content we wanted on our iPhone the resources we own would have been readable, just like they are on Macintosh, we have paid for digital rights, in Logos format, not Logos windows format or logos mac format. This also is the reason why us owners of discontinued items are able to use items (admittedly Logos MUST build in compatibility with older LLS and Libronix files for us to use them on Logos4 (which they have of course)). Now one can easily forgive Logos for publishers complications, but when push comes to shove it seems to be implementation that is at fault. And i do understand that iphones and iPads are not powerful enough to run a true Logos equal, but they are more than powerful enough to run a reader of our files and I wonder how many of us would be satisfied with that...
As noted above people are already choosing not to purchase Logos items for cheaper more flexible options. But I have not given up hope for a better iphone option, Logos has already made a major change. If I understand things right our phones do read the actual L4 files and download them to the phone off of the cloud, so it seems to me the main thing that keeps them from allowing us to sync our L4 files is design. Will we ever have this option I have no idea, and does the Logos iPhone engine have the capability of reading all Logos files or only current Logos4 files, this I do not know.
The original design it was not really anything much more than a design interface for Biblia.com and perhaps it will always be based on it, but it was not what people wanted, the offline reading experience was not good and Logos has rewritten it to render things better. I know a true app not dependent on the cloud is a lot of work, but they already have taken the first step and I do think in the end the ideal thing for Logos will be something of a hybrid, reading what we sync from our computers, augmented by cloud computing power. I still think for most people the ability to have a bible and second book open make some notes and hilite text is all we really expect and want from Logos iOS. We may never get this but I can still dream, if other Bible software companies are capable of it why not Logos.

This is a misconception. Whether or not a resource is available on the iPhone is a licensing issue, not a technical issue of whether the data is on the device or comes from the cloud. There are rare instances where the licensing and technical issues are intertwined, but these are exceptions and mostly apply to the free resources available through the iPhone app and Biblia.com.

My apologies, I had just known with a different companies APP everything was allowed to be synced to the phone including user created modules. I had wrongly assumed that the reason for incompatibilities with Logos' app was through implementation. I still really hope Logos may have this feature in the future.

It's worth mentioning that 1.5.1 is now out, and fixes some of the bugs that were described on this thread earlier: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/27281.aspx

Mark,
Thanks for the heads up on the 1.5.1 release.
Thanks also to Logos (Dave Dunkin??) for quickly addressing the issues. I only checked the ESV so far, but its great to be rid of the "[]" adjacent to footnotes.
The ESV footnotes and references seem to be easier to open now on the iPod Touch with my largish fingers (ring size 12.5), was an improvement made?
Regards,
Scott
