Need a Portfolio Stepping Stone -- Poorfolio A, B, C, D, E, F, G, & H?

Merry Christmas!

By God's grace I've gradually been able to build up to Platinum. I did so in increments of up to $300. The days our budget could accomodate a $1,000+ upgrade are long gone. The church I serve is tiny & struggles just to afford a full time pastor. There is no book budget in addition to the amount to cover all professional expenses for the year.

So... is my sole upgrade path now reduced to CP projects, when there's a book or collection that'd be useful?

Or will there be stepping stones of up to $300 that'll help me continue to build my library?

Good question, Bill. The jump from Platinum to Portfolio is huge, even for someone like me who has a lot of resources outside Platinum. So we need an Iridium collection and a couple more. I feel for your situation. Yet we are so blessed already aren't we?

No, it's not reduced to CP projects. There's also that "little" thing known as prepub. That's where I get virtually all of my stuff. Actually, I wouldn't want to get portfolio since there's too much that would simply be clutter, i.e., material I would never use. I already have enough clutter (You should see my folder of hidden resources).

I think the RRP of the Platinum to Portfolio upgrade is $2,600. But I know of people being offered it for $660, and I myself got it for $775. I think in both cases it was partly the 25% discount that applied at the time, but largely because we had lots of the resources already in Portfolio.

I'm sure it's probably cheaper to go straight to Portfolio if you can afford it, but if you can't, then you could cherry pick the most useful Portfolio resources and buy them now, hoping it would reduce your upgrade price in the future.
