Bug: Repeated Downloads 40.1 MB Update - How do I stop the cycle?

How do I stop the cycle?

Every time I start L4, and if I run the "Update Now" command, I am getting the Updates Available popup.

If I click to start the update I then get "Logos is downloading 40.1 MB of updates...." and the icon in the system tray.

The download happens then the icon disapears from the system tray and nothing happens.

I can rrestart Logos or do the "update now" command and the cycle is repeated

I am running 4.20.4.7970 and my update channel is beta.

Let's see what is happening by first enabling diagnostic logging. Restart L4 and when the Indexer has completed upload the logs.

It's whinging about a few files that you may or may not have:

Checking resource ID 'DB:SYNTAX-LEXHAMSGGNT' for update 'Resource DB:SYNTAX-LEXHAMSGGNT' to see if version '2009-10-06T03:08:43Z' is available.

This is an obsolete resource. Delete LexhamSGGNT.lbssyn, LexhamSGGNT.lbxclv and LexSGGlossary.logos4 from the L4 resource folder if they exist. Note the double "G" and don't confuse them with LexhamSGNT.

Checking resource ID 'DB:SYNTAX-CSGNT' for update 'Resource DB:SYNTAX-CSGNT' to see if version '2010-04-05T17:06:12Z' is available.

Checking resource ID 'LLS:CSGGLOSSARY' for update 'Resource LLS:CSGGLOSSARY' to see if version '2009-10-29T22:57:49Z' is available.

Checking resource ID 'CSGNT' for update 'Resource CSGNT' to see if version '2009-10-28T21:50:33Z' is available

These are associated with Cascadia Syntax Graphs. Do you have the licence for this ie. can you run Cascadia Syntax searches?

Checking resource ID 'RVI:LAKEAF' for update 'Resource RVI:LAKEAF' to see if version '2010-04-28T14:38:32Z' is available.

Do you own the Lake’s Apostolic Fathers in English? If you don't, delete LAKEAF.lbsrvi. But it keeps coming back when I try it!

The logs are attached and the same behaviour is still present. The 40.1 MB download seems to be the size of a program update and note have anything to do with resources.

This log shows the spurious download of files like LLS:TOTC37HAGUS. Type that Id in the Command bar and tell me what resource it is. It looks like the problem we had with Galaxie files ie. incompatible resource Id's for Libronix files you got on CD and had installed in L3.
