Downloading resources on Ipod touch

I had almost all my 500 plus books downloaded to "offline" onto my ipod touch.

Yesterday on my ipod touch homepage I had a message saying to download 526 resources.  So I clicked on the update.  Have kept my ipod touch on for several hours last night to allow the download to complete but only very few books downloaded.

I shut it off while at work today, and started it again tonight.  it say's it's downloading all the resources, but none of the orange arrows are turning red. So basically, I've lost all my downloaded offline books again.

It there a glitch to this update, or do I need to do something different?  I use my logos on my ipod much more than the computer version.

    Your offline books should still be available while they are updating. There is a known issue for the app displaying that it is downloading resources while it is not. As a workaround, you can quit the app (and remove it from the tray if your device supports multitasking) and start it again.
