By the way, Logos has Ewald's full name listed as "Ewald, Georg Heinrich" (on multiple resources), but isn't it really "Ewald, Heinrich Georg August"?

Here's his entry from the Oxford dictionary of the Christian Church:

Ewald, Heinrich Georg August (1803–75), OT theologian and orientalist. He was educated at the University of Göttingen, where he taught from 1827 to 1837. In 1838 he went to *Tübingen and joined in the attack on F. C. *Baur and the Tübingen School. From 1847 to 1867 he was back in Göttingen. He was the author of a long series of books. His ‘Hebrew Grammar’ (1827) was a landmark in the history of OT philology, but of even greater influence was his Geschichte des Volkes Israel (5 vols., 1843–55; two further vols. on the Apostolic Age were added to the 2nd edn. in 1858–9). In its English translation (vol. 5, 1865; the rest, 1867–86) it much influenced British scholarship. Ewald exercised a restraining influence on some of the negative tendencies of the OT criticism of his day.

My interest is sparked more by his work on chronology, than his actual comments on the prophets. I have an interest in chronology, but I do not have what it takes to burn midnight oil pursuing who begat whom. I leave that to others, and just double check/verify their findings. This is why I was disappointed that a large percentage of Ussher's works were not translated into English. He devoted much of his life to researching chronology, but it does me no good written in Latin.
