When the two latest updates for Greek texts were downloaded the beta rebuilt my indexes. I want to confirm that this is a one time event due to the beta and will not occur every time a resources is updated or added... please confirm and advise.
I can concur... I downloaded new resources last night and my indexer has been hard at it since.
You can see my post about it here.
The indexer seemed to finish (disappeared in the bar and in activity monitor).
10 minutes later, I rebooted my computer and it started again!!
This is getting frustrating.
Per my earlier post on a different thread ... my indexer has been working off/on since yesterday morning. It continually tells me that there is anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 hours remaining ... 2 hours later, it is still giving me those same messages. My Mac is not on at night, but even yesterday evening, it had 4 hours of straight running when it should have finished, or at least dropped lower. Instead, at the beginning of that period it said 2.5 hours, at the end of that 4 hours, it wasn't finished and is still giving me and ETA of anywhere between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. I hope that makes since. This is not typical indexing behavior, at least not according to what I've experienced on earlier versions, both for Mac and Windows.
Agreed. I'd love to hear from Logos peeps...
For whatever its worth, after I posted this, the time on the indexer finally actually started going down. It has now finished and doesn't restart when I fully close Logos and reopen it. Hopefully, Tom, it'll run on your system and finish too. In any case, it was unusual behavior from the indexer (at least compared to what I've experienced before).
Unfortunately I'm still having issues. I've posted a standalone thread with logs here if anyone wants to have a look and tell me whats going on.
