Buying Logos PRoducts as a Hedge Against the Economy

Just thinking out loud. If you bought the NICOT/NT recently at the pre-pub price of $999.99 and now it costs $1700 what was your rate of return in less than 24 hours? And if the pre-pub price was the lowest price it will ever be why didn't I buy 5 sets and then sell 4 of them on EBay for $1500 each?! Even if you only bought one set for yourself just think of the return on your investment. Blows away and 401K! Like I said, just thinking out loud!

I'm fairly certain that others (not me) have already been doing this for a few years.

My wife has suggested several times to sell my logos ! [:|] If you hear of my early demise you can probably buy my licenses from her for a one way ticket to Ireland.

I have a hard enough time getting the first copy of each Pre-Pub I want. [:'(]

Maybe there is a wealthy person who will grab this and run with it. Buy 20 copies of each at the earliest Pre-Pub price and resell to others who lacked funds on shipping day at a savings but a profit. Christian booksellers have been standing in the gap like this for centuries. There is nothing shameful about earning a living while blessing the church.

Kinda interesting you suggested buying multiple disk for selling to others later. When the Pulpit Commentary came out (and a few others I can't remember) I networked with pastors, assistant pastors and such that I knew. I think I pre-pub'd four or five copies. Made a little money, too. But it was great to see the PComm make it to the mail box!
