I am a little disappointed with LOGOS' direction to separate notes and clippings. The "industry standard" of eReader software is to keep them together, but I digress.
Sometimes as I read a book I might see a wonderful illustration or a quote/statistic, etc. I love the ability to create a clipping and add tags (which are topically indexed in "My Content"). I believe what is lacking is the ability to "link" a clipping to the Bible which would then show up in Passage Guide. In other words, it would be nice if a Clipping behaved like a Note.
Of course, I could copy the illustration, open a Bible find the reference that I believe this illustration illustrates, right click, add a note to a notefile (which, by the way, I need to have opened beforehand) and paste the text. But this looks like a long way of doing things.
Is it technically possible to simply add a reference tag in Clippings which L4 would then parse and include in the Passage Guide for the particular passage?
The problem I have with "word" tags is that I might tag something as "supplication", but when I search I would use "prayer" and my content will not be found. Also, if I misspell something it might as well be lost.
Do you have a better way of collecting/searching for illustrations that you create? And yes, I cannot wait till Sermon Add-On will be released for L4
