Please help downloading resources on iPhone

I have iPhone 3 and I am missionary in a remote location where I only get phone access intown. I wan. To download my logos resources onto my phone for use in translation. Anyway I cannot seem to get a single book to load for offline use even when I slide "available offline" feature on the book info page. Can someone help me with this? I just can't seem to get any to load. Thanks for any help

After you click to enable off-line use and have clicked "done" you should see a small red circle to the left. Inside is an arrow pointing down. This indicates the book is in process of being downloaded. When the litte arrow in the red circle turns into an airplane, download is complete. Then you may download another.
