Sermon Addin peculiarity

Anyone else notice that the verse popups in this addin don't always work properly? For example: When listing a sequence of verses where the second or third verse has a number at the beginning, the verse will not popup properly. The number links to the previous reference's chapter and verse unless you put a ' after the semicolon. as followes:

We are indwelt by the Spirit.   John 7:39; Romans 5:5, 8:9; 1 Cor. 6:19; 2 Cor 1:21; Gal 4:6

Like this the Corinthian verses do not popup properly, but the 1 will popup as Romans 8:1 until the script is changed to this:

 We are indwelt by the Spirit.   John 7:39; Romans 5:5, 8:9;' 1 Cor. 6:19;' 2 Cor 1:21; Gal 4:6

Then the verses popup properly!

Is this just me and my machine or is there a problem with the program.

This is a known issue. It works the same in notes. I've not seen your work-around before, but that's pretty cool. What I've typically done is code it like this [[1 Cor 6:19|bible:1Cor 6:19]]. It takes a little longer to type in, but looks a little nicer on the page. I may try your method, though.

Another thing I've noticed is that the 'preview' pane (the right side of the input window) does not always accurately show the final product. So, after compiling, make sure it works as expected.

Another known issue: if you end a sermon file with a code or special character (*,/, |, etc.), it can cause the compiler to crash (no error message). I've gotten into the habit of ending with a new line and a period.

This probably wont fix the issue, but it is worth noting that 3.0f has several sermon file fixes.  Click on Tools – Libronix Update to update to the latest version for free.

    •  Sermon File Addin changes in 3.0f:
    •    Fixed Sermon File bug: when a reference immediately follows a table, the sermon compiles indefinitely
    •    Sermon File remembers "Publish to Sermons.Logos.com" setting (for new sermons)
    •    Several minor bug fixes in sermon editing and compiling
    •    Fixed Sermon File addin bug: sermon files are now written to the disk
    •    Fixed Sermon File bug: when a reference immediately follows a table, the sermon compiles indefinitely
