I tried to do a basic search for text, but couldn't get any results. I noticed that the book has no search fields. Too bad. Could somebody add this to the wiki of books without search fields?
Thanks.
Justin, are you referring to Logos 4? In L4 this resource is searchable by surface text and footnote. I just ran a search on it and it is working fine.
Is it possible that this resource is new to you and is unindexed? Is indexing currently going on?
Thanks. It is Logos 4 and yes the resource is new to me. How do I get Logos 4 to start indexing?
How new? Maybe there is additional metadata that needs to be downloaded since this is a resource in Logos 3 rather than Logos 4 format.
Did you get this via download? How long ago?
November 26th is the day I bought it. I downloaded it from Logos.com.
Well the metadata certainly should be present by now. The resource also should have been indexed unless you just haven't been using Logos. Have you had any unusual messages from Logos 4, like an indexer failure? Does Logos 4 restart indexing every time you open it?
I have been using Logos quite a bit lately. I did get an index failure, but I used the fix on the forums and it indexed just fine. Plus I bought a whole bunch of stuff for the Christmas sale and it indexed just fine. How do I update metadata?
I just merged indexes and it started indexing. Hopefully that solves the problem. Thanks.
How do I update metadata?
You don't. Logos does. As I said if that was the issue initially it would have been taken care of by now.
Let's try deleting the resource and thus force L4 to redownload and reindex it. Before that please enable diagnostic logging if you have not. See: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Close Logos 4. Navigate to your resources folder here: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{Random String}\ResourceManager\Resources and locate the file CANONSCRIPTURE.lbxlls and delete it. Reopen Logos 4. It might or might not immediately attempt the download. Give it a few minutes. If the notice comes up that Logos is indexing you have probably succeeded in getting the download. If the indexer crashes upload the log files as indicated in the wiki article above.
I will be surprised if it makes a difference, so if it doesn't, follow the suggestion above.
