It has been slightly over one year since I upgraded from Logos 3 to Logos 4 and I wanted to express my profound thankfulness for this wonderful tool.

I purchased my first Bible software in 2000. It was one of the cheaper, better known Bible softwares with lots of public domain titles, etc. It really helped my study and sermon prep and I used it every week for nine years, but the way I primarily used it was producing print outs of verse comparisons, word studies, and commentary, etc. I would then put the print outs into a folder for the passage I was studying and mark on them, etc. Since I am not the type of person who looks for the "latest and greatest" of everything, I never really explored any other Bible software. What I had was helpful and I was busy. Busy with my wife and kids, busy completing a doctorate, busy at church, etc. etc.

In September 2008, a ministry friend showed me Logos 3 and I was able to purchase the Scholars edition soon thereafter. Needless to say, this was a quantum leap for me. I loved it and found it very useful for sermon prep, etc. However, the learning curve was pretty steep and I strictly used it for sermon prep. Never opened it any other time. Never really spent much time learning the power of what it could do. So, it was good, but not life-changing.

Upgrading to Logos 4 a year has truly been life and ministry changing for me. Now, I use Logos every single day - multiple times per day, often multiple hours per day. My devotional life is intergrated into Logos. Logos 4 is far more intuitive and easier for me to learn, so the depth of what I do in Bible study is so much greater. I used it on my iphone and ipad daily. If I have a question, I find the answer in the wiki or on the forums here. Logos has gradually upgraded and added functionality - exactly as they said they would.

In short, I am a VERY satisfied customer. Thank you Logos team!  I only have one caution:  It is WAAAYYYYYY too easy to spend too much money on books!

Have a great Christmas.

I can only say "amen" to your entire post (except for the iphone part; I don't have one)...
