In my customized passage guide I have several commentaries in a collection. When I enter a passage, i.e., Gen 1:1, and then click on one of the commentaries, it goes to the title page instead of the passage I'm studying. Help, please?
Brad,
Mine doesn't do that...but let me ask...why do you have a collection for commentaries?
do you find the commentary section of the PG to be inadequate?
Hi Robert
I thought I remembered something like this - and I think the type of behaviour Brad is describing occurs if you use the "Collection" category to group commentaries as opposed to the "Commentaries" one.
Graham
I divided my commentaries into Exegetical, Expositional and Applicational Collections so that the search would focus on particular resources for particular purposes.
You can add multiple Commentary bars in the PG. Use this instead of collections. In Commentary bars you can select a collection for each of your commentary categories.
EDIT: i don't have all that many commentaries, but below in the image you can see that i have 2 commentary bars (one for the NT and one for the OT; these are collections of commentaries)
But did you group them in a "Commentaries" category or a "Collections" one?
Edit: Sorry, my question was for Brad's post as opposed to Steve's
Grouping them under a "Commentaries" bar rather than as a "Collections" bar made the difference. Been using Logos for a long time but trying to use it more effeciently. Thanks all for your help.
Here is a snapshot of a set up very similar to what you are seeking
That last group is in a collection section rather than Commentaries because those resources are non-versified.
EDIT: On second thought. That was an error. It should have been Commentaries also.
Thanks, Jack.
