OT - Prayer Request within the testing community
Good Afternoon fellow members of the testing community
I apologize for not being more active in the past couple of days -- my wife's in the hospital in OKC following a total hip replacement. However, she's been in the ICU since her surgery -- seems she's very susceptible to changes in blood volume and the medical team is unable to keep her Blood Pressure up without additional IVs. Even after two units of blood yesterday, her BP is still in the lower to mid 90's over the mid to lower 40's.
Just offer a little prayer please while you're testing away -- I'd sure appreciate it.
Blessings,
Dale

Absolutely. I'm stopping now and praying. I've worked as an ICU nurse for 3 years (currently pursuing nurse anesthesia), and I can understand how scary this is. Thank you for sharing with us, so we know to pray.

Said a prayer for you and your wife.

No such thing as a little prayer, but I did pray for your wife, the doctors and other care providers, and you and your family. May peace beyond understanding settle on you and your wife, the presence of God fill her room, and the wisdom of the Great Physician settle on those providing your wife's care.

Praise Report -- Answered Prayers
Beloved friends, let me just say thank you == thanks ever so much for your compassion and prayers.
Donna was released from the ICU this evening and moved up to the Orthopedic Surgery wing where she we expected she would have been after the surgery last week.
Her blood pressure has been holding stead in the low 100's over the mid 60's for 24 hours now -- without the Dopamine to articificially manipulate the pressure.. Her hemoglobin should be between 12 and 16, but after six units of blood it was at least up to 9.8 this morning. Her pulse rate is in the 80's and 90's. The CT scan last night (yes, they did that too) ruled out a Pulmonary Embolism but they did find a small Pneumo Thorax. She had a central line for several days because they couldn't start any more IV's and couldn't even get a PICC line in. Whew, it's been a week.
But, she's in a bed in a regular room. No IV's no machines, just the two of us. She's starts getting evaluated for rehab in the morning.
Again, Praise God!! And, thanks again to all of you for joining us in prayer and mutual support.
Blessings,
Dale Durnell

Praise God! Hgb of 9.8 isn't amazing, but it certainly won't be a problem! What a tough week. I'm praising God for you now as I read this
