I'm in the middle of another download which looks as though it will last for 3 days.  Argh !  This is the day I'm supposed to be able to download Windows 7.

Can't you cancel the download using right-click on the icon in the task-bar?

That's a good suggestion. You can also unplug your computer, clean out the bad information with soapy water (I find that mild detergents sometimes don't do the trick, Concentrated clorox often works better, and if cleaning the whole machine doesn't work try removing the hard-drive and submerging it),dry it off by repeatedly throwing it out the window (the wind generated is the key ingredient here, the higher up the better. if you can get a ladder to your roof that's the best scenario. You might want to tie a string to the computer though so you don't have to keep climbing up and down.) At this point is should have stopped downloading the resources. To check plug it in. If you have trouble plugging the cable back in try jumper cables and your car battery. If its still downloading, just repeat these steps. If nothing else, its fun [:)]
