add some crowd-sourced description fields (e.g. populartags, avgrating)

I think it would be really helpful if there were some additional fields available in the library and for creating dynamic collections that included some Logos community crowd-sourced data. 

Some examples that I think would be really cool:

• Average Logos user rating - avgrating
• "My Tags" most used by Logos users - populartags

You could even weight those so that input from MVPs influences the final result more than input from others that have not proven themselves as trustworthy.

I would love to be use fields that like that to help me figure out which books are worth my time and which I should just go ahead and hide.  I think this would be the kind of feature that could really help out the more casual user's like myself.

You could use those crowd-sourced ratings fields on the sales side of the site too.  I would probably buy more one-off resources if I had a more precise idea of what everyone thought about a book and how they had tagged it.

I understand there are people who highly value their privacy, and therefore would not like their private ratings and tags used in such a way, so you could make it an opt-in program.

This has been discussed in the forums before but I can't find it right now.

I don't know how useful the Average Logos user rating would be, since many do not rate their libraries, and many use a 2star rating for those that they have not had a chance to review and really rate.  With 1Star rating reserved for those you would hide and no rating for newly downloaded resources.

As for the "popular tags" I would just like it to remember my own tags so I can duplicate them perfectly without searching to see how I did it before.

Crowd sourced ratings might be better as book reviews on the Logos website (sort of like Amazon reviews) as others have asked for here on the forums in the past. As others have mentioned...how do you know the theological thought of those posting and will it be like yours? Without knowing their theological bent, would their review be something you would really want to consider. I think Logos will probably stay away from allowing reviews on their website, especially since they can be found all over the web. With the forum, you can ask about resources and get plenty of feedback, and even ask for clarification of answers.
