Updated NIV Avail?

Any news on when the updated NIV will become available for L4 Mac?
Will it be a FREE download (I've the Scholar's edition)?

No dates available yet, as far as I'm aware.
I doubt if it will be free, if experience with NASB and NASB 95 were anything to go by, because NIV will be a new resource rather than an update. (Furthermore, I just can't see Zondervan passing up a new revenue stream.)

Thanks, Alan.
Incidentally, just a few days ago I opened the NIV Application Commentary on 1 Corinthians by Craig Blomberg to learn that it was missing ~40 pages. I called Zondervan and they're sending out a new copy to me at no charge. There's at least one instance of passing up some revenue.

I asked and got the reply:
We plan to have the 2011 version available first quarter of next year (1 Q 2011)

It says NIV 2011 will be part of that free upgrade.

Everyone loves free stuff. Like grace.
Ah, if only that were the case with regard to God's grace, then preaching the gospel would be much more fruitful.
Sadly, such is the perversity of fallen human nature that people either think that there must be a catch and are suspicious, or they feel that they don't need it and reject it. I suppose that is why it takes God Himself in the person of the Holy Spirit to convince people. (John 16:8-10)
