Uploading L3 Notes to L4

Unless L4 Notes drastically change (i.e. become much more like they are in L3) I will always use L3 as my primary tool and use L4 only for specialized tasks for which it is better designed. I have uploaded many of my older  L3 notes and highlights to L4 mainly so that I can easily recognize where things are on the L4 screen. But I have a question regarding this process.

What is the turn around on this upload process? It clearly doesn't happen instantaneously (meaning after I upload and then sync L4). I thought it took about a day or two (that seemed to be my experience), but I have notes in L3 which I added weeks ago and have uploaded an many occasions since, and they are still not showing up in L4. What is the hang on this?

Can someone tell me EXACTLY what I can do on my end to hasten and assure the process being completed? Also, can someone explain the process from a technical perspective so I can understand what is happening? Thanks.

This hiccup is one of the evidences for why I have concerns with the whole "cloud" concept...having a syncing option is great (it provides some neat-o abilities, like L3 to L4 syncing), but it takes operability away from me (i.e. off my usually reliable computer) and places them firmly (I speak tongue-in-cheek) in the aforementioned puffy, amorphous, transient, and seemingly insubstantial and undependable "cloud".

David Logos3 doesnt sync with cloud, you would need to use the import notes command in L4, its the only way to get them from v3 to v4

Yes, but this won't sync the notes. It will either overwrite the notes in L4, or write a second copy of any file with the same name, appending a (2), (3), etc. But, I don't remember which of these two will actually happen.

It seems to append notes to existing note files of the same name rather than overwriting.  I noted that some files were missing so I did it all again -- big mistake.  I'm not sure whether it was due to importing the notes twice or simply due to the process itself, but I got duplicate notes in some files with some of them being scrambled as far as the order of notes is concerned (This is easy to observe since I generally do a single note in a file on each verse and do them in order -- when v 3 ends up after v 10 you know something's wrong.  Also, it plays havoc with the fonts and font sizes.  I've spent a couple of weeks attempting to straighten out the mess and am nowhere near finished.

Ok, then I guess the next step is for someone in the know (and I mean someone who REALLY knows) to describe EXACTLY what the process and procedure for completing the L3 to L4 notes transfer is. For instance, based on some of the above input, I'm wondering if Logos ever envisioned an ONGOING note updating process (which I envision as essentially the same thing as a "save" in a word processor) or whether they perceived it as a once-and-done operation that isn't really designed to handle constant uploading from L3. The same question applies to the updating of highlighting as well...and if the two processes are not handled identically in one-and-the same procedure, I need to know that as well.

I need to know the process and procedure in COMPLETE DETAIL...seeing as my notes are my life (or as close as anything that isn't me can be).
