Hello Logos forum:
The Logos Web site indicates that Quere/Quetive variants and variant readings are visible in the BHS with morphology, however, I am unable to locate them in the Original Languages electronic BHS.
Jim, have you looked under the display button? I took the screen capture in the Windows version, but it should work the same way in Mac.
Hi Kevin,
I saw the Windows screenshot. There is no display button in the Logos 4 MAC version (4.0b SR-2 (4.10.4.8574) of the BHS. I wonder how I might forward this to the development team?
Jim, I just checked the Westminster 4.2 BHS in Logos 4 Mac and it has the display button. There must be something about the edition of the BHS that you have that is properly formatted to display these forms. Is your copy of the BHS from a Logos 4 base package or is it older? What is the filename and date on the copy of the BHS?
The developers do patrol this forum, but many of them might be off for the holidays. I'll see if I can find an email address to specifically alert one of the developers, but there's a fair chance one of them will notice this thread.
I have 3 versions of BHS. The BHS/WIVU doesn't have the inline display but BHS with Westminster 4.2 Morphology and BHS with Westminster 4.0 Morphology do. Are you sure you're opening one of the Westminster versions?
It looks like Original Languages doesn't come with the Westminster versions. I double checked my Windows install of Scholars Gold and BHS/WIVU doesn't have an inline display there either, while both the Westminster versions do. So I doubt this is a Mac issue. It's more like a resource doesn't support interlinear display issue.
That sounds like the explanation. The Original Languages package comes with BHS and the WIVU Morphology (Werkgroep Informatica Vrije Universiteit Morphology). As far as I can tell from the Web site, the Original Languages package doesn't mention Westminster 4.4 morphology per se. (Quere and Quetiv are not technically morphology, so I'm not sure why WIVU wouldn't include them, as they are textual).
