Short answer is no - but you can request a disk.

First, I trust that you are choosing when to download as that provides a notification that a download is available.
You cannot choose what to download but you can choose the quantity by hovering over the blue Logos icon in the Windows Taskbar/Notification Area. When it reaches the appropriate percentage of the amount right click the icon and Cancel the download. the program will then index what was downloaded.
In short, hovering over the icon will tell you how much (in MB or GB) is being downloaded and what percentage has been downloaded and you can Cancel it at any point. But it is important that you can choose when to download (above) else it will occur out of your control!
