cannot install libronix at all

i am trying to install the NKJV study bible on my desktop pc and am having a few problems.

1. disc will not auto run. when i try and run libronix.setup from the disc  the 1st time it told me i had to run an update 1st.

(i've not installed any study bible or this software before)

2. i found an updater.exe on the disc and tried to run that but it said there was already a vesion installed and that needed to be uninstalled first.

3. i've looked at my installed programs list and find no thing installed that was not there before. i've run reg. cleaners etc and rebooted but it still tells me i have a version installed.

4. i have been to the libronix website and downloaded v4 but that would not load either.

4. i tried the disc on my wife's laptop and it loaded just fine.

my desktop is running windows7  ultimate 64bit  and the laptop is running vista ... is this the problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you know if you were installing from a Series X disc or a Libronix disc? There are different instructions for getting rid of program features for different versions. You'll find them here: http://www.logos.com/support/article/316 The use of the PurgeDLS.bat file is required with one of them.
