New Years Resolutions

My wife and I were talking in the car over Christmas about New Year resolutions. One of mine, along with exercising, is to read and study more (that is where Logos comes in).

My 4 year old daughter in the back, when asked, said that her New Years Resolution was to "play all day, everyday."

I have been accused of "playing all day, everyday" with Logos only because I enjoy it. [:)]

I wonder if I disliked it would they then accuse me of too much study? [:(]

Ron, you and your wife should be proud your young daughter sets goals. Most adults don't. And never underestimate the power of "play."

Similarly, my New Year's Resolutions are not to make resolutions.

My resolutions are (not in a particular order):

1. Memorize at least one verse per day (I tried 5 per day to memorize the pastoral epistles but it can get time consuming at times with the review aspect of the game).

2. Learn Hebrew with the First Hebrew Primer.

3. Refresh and polish my Greek and deepen my understanding of Greek grammar (e.g. morphology).

4. Polish my sermon delivery

5. Write a few Bible commentaries in Spanish and finish some I've already started (not many commentaries in Spanish and most of them are translations of English versions; e.g. Baker's NT Commentary, Bible Knowledge Commentary, etc.).

6. Get in better shape

7. Improve my marriage (nothing bad going on, but there's always room for improvement...lol).

And I'll stop at number 7 or else I'll get overwhelmed...[:S]

How much have you done in respect to this? I am in a class that meets once a week at a local temple. I think the book is pretty good. Maybe we can compare notes or something. If you want you can contact me at luvmath zero three at yahoo dot com. the numbers are not spelled out and no spaces.

How much have you done in respect to this?

I have not done much. I looked at the table of contents and decided it was time to do something with the resource. I have no notes yet, but if I can get myself to write some, I'll be more than happy to share them. [:)] Where's the temple where you meet? Is it a Jewish Temple?
