Logos 4 Mac not closing when updating

Every time I update Logos 4 Mac, Logos will not close. After the update, I have one unresponsive Logos program running and the new updated version. I can quit the new updated version, but the old version I cannot get to quit at all. I've tried Force Quit, even opening up Activity Monitor and force quitting. I try restarting using the Apple Menu, but it won't let the computer log off. I have to press and hold my power button to get the computer to shut down. I'll look up the post regarding including logs on the forums and get them posted as soon as I can.

Dale,
There is most likely a crash somewhere in the app that is causing it to hang. If you open Activity monitor and look for a process starting with "gdb" and quit that one, you should be able to quit the crashed version.

The first link in my signature describes this process. The second link describes a utility that automates much of the process.

I have not seen that one before. Be sure to post your logos. You may have discovered an obscure bug.

Tom,
I did find the gdb-i386 file and quit it, but I still cannot quit the unresponsive logos app.

Here are the logs using the utility Jack mentioned. I didn't include the Console Log before, and I believe his utility includes it.

Did you kill all the gdb processes, then try to stop all the Logos 4 processes?

That's odd. It actually did quit and wasn't showing in the Activity Monitor, yet the icon on the dock indicated it was still running and it was still listed in the Force Quit menu. I was able to cleanly restart my computer, though, so that worked. Anyways, I still have the problem with the app crashing every time I update.

Glad it worked for you. Yes it does include the Console Log. It is not my utility (not sure you really meant that). I just liked it enough to create a link in my signature that would allow others to use it also.
