I have downloaded and installed my Logos 4 Library, but am unable to find anything when doing a search. I don't think that my indexing has taken place, but don't know how to start or re-start it.
Can anyone help me?
Welcome [:D]
Concur indexing needs to complete before search can show results.
Could restart Mac - Blue Logos icon should appear in menu bar - can hover mouse on icon for downloading and indexing status.
Caution: indexing time estimates can be humorous (way off the mark). Indexing can take hours (depends on library size).
Other way to force indexing is rebuild index command.
Once indexing done, try searching. If still no results, wiki has steps for posting logs => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#How_to_Report_Bugs_in_Logos_4_Mac
Observation: some older resources can cause indexer to crash instead of complete - logs helpful for diagnosis.

Where do I find the rebuild index command?
Hi there, you don't find the command in the user interface, you need to type it in. It gets typed into the Command entry field which is the one to top left in the toolbar. On the home screen it is above the 'Go' entry field. The field says 'Command' in grey text.
You can also tell if the Logos indexing program is running by looking at the OS X 'Activity Monitor' program. If you don't see Logos Indexer running there there (and it's not on the menu bar) then it is not running.
You can/should also check if you have already have any indexes created, which you can do by looking in the index folder(s) for Logos 4. On the Mac load a Finder window, choose Column view (see path easier) and go to (this is usual location):
Hard drive >> Users >> [Your user account] >> Library >> Application Support >> Logos4 >> Data >> [a unique code] >> LibraryIndex
and also on the same level 'BibleIndex'. If you see no files in either of those locations, OR if they are not big enough (for example on my installation with 600 resources, the index.idx file in LibraryIndex folder is 1GB in size) then your index has not been created properly. If you manually run the Rebuild Index command and Logos does not spend the next few hours indexing (how big is your Logos installation, how many resources) then you have a problem and you should follow instructions to get log files and report an issue for your installation.
