When does syncing occur?

I have had a crash or two like many of us and when I go back into Logos after the crash, the books that I had open are no longer open. My layout comes up like it did the last time I opened logos. Question: When does syncing occur? Even if I click the sync button before the crash, it still does not come up when I was before the crash.
Does syncing occur at the closing of Logos? I would expect that it would come up after a crash to the layout or how I had it when I synced it with the servers.
Any thoughts?

Syncing happens almost constantly.
However, your current layout is not synced you have to save a layout to get it to sync. When you close Logos it saves where you were so when you re-open the program it can load that layout. If the program crashes it doesn't have a chance to save that temp layout so it opens with the layout you last closed the program with.

Thanks - Is there a way to force a save of the temporary layout?

John, I have saved a layout I call Current. Anytime I want to save what I am doing I just right click on that layout name and choose Update to Current Snapshot. Might work for you.

Thanks, All. Mark, this is what I have resolved to do. I have Logos on my Laptop and will put it in suspend to move it from one place to another. I may go a day or two between shutdowns of Logos and when there is a crash, I lose quite a bit on what books were open. I wish there was a way for this to happen periodically automatically.
Thanks!
John
