I went to control panel and uninstalled Prerequesites and the Logos 4.

Did a re-install of b9.

Do you remember the teen video game "gone in 60 seconds"?

Well, mine continually gets the "error message" (which may as well be the same as "gone') at just under 120 seconds EVEN IF I DO NOTHING...CLICK NOTHING ETC.

pre-error log above.

Was hoping b8 or b9 would solve this...guess I have to wait for b10?

Steve

ps. I've done nothing else to my computer (only that which this beta software "allows" "encourages" etc.)

logs from after error message to MS

Why do these error reports take so long in these L4 betas? -- 6-7 minutes every time.

None of my other MS error reports take this long -- usually go in seconds - so fast you can hardly read the splach screen!

    Steve

ps. If I was to just send log files would you want the one generated before the error report to MS or the one from after the MS error report removed L4 from my screen?

pss. beta testing was quite peaceful until b7 appeared.

Stephen have you tried pressing CTRL as it loads. It will get you to a blank screen (or you select a blank screen), but apparently there is a problem autoloading the Home page!

PS. B7/8 were not stable, but B9 is better!

Hi Dave, no I had not tried that.

Fortunately in my situation Bradley was able to discover a faulty "Metadata" file within my L4 folder. Its removal (it then replaced itself) appears to have solved all of my problems. (For some reason the "crash loading Home Page" issue was not one of them -- I could always load but 2.5 minutes later the MS error reporting screen would continually appear).

    Thanks for you help.

I was able to use L4b9 yeasterday for a number of hours with no issues. This was a "first" since it had been "broken" since Thursday!

    All the best,

    Steve.

Spoke too soon - Home page DOES crash machine.

That CTRL is a great work-a-round!

I am not going to go near "Home Page"!
