Development in the concept of Form Criticism

I note in Savran, George W. Encountering the Divine : Theophany in Biblical Narrative. London; New York: T & T Clark International, 2005 that he recommends Alter, Biblical Narrative ‘How Convention Helps us Read’ as a development in the area of Form Criticism as going beyond the structure of Form Criticism to consider the use of type-scenes. This sounds like a desirable addition to Logos.

It would be - in fact, all of Robert Alter's work would e a useful addition to Logos.
