I just tried to open Logos 4 on my laptop and I got a message that it couldn't be opened because the file was corrupted.

Corrupted file is not good.
Wonder about checking permissions and disk with Apple's Disk Utility ?
One way to look for corrupted files is virus scan - clamXav is free (donation appreciated) => http://www.clamxav.com/ - suggest checking preferences before scanning - http://www.clamxav.com/index.php?page=prefs - quarantined files unchecked.
If Logos 4 Mac only corrupted item, could drag application to trash and reinstall - can Download current stable release of Logos 4 Mac
