It is working for me if I click an English word. However, there is definitely something flaky going on. Hover highlighting synchronization isn't consistent. I have to click on the English word before any of the Greek word highlighting show up.

Hi Jack,
I am getting the correct population. It appears that there is something wrong with yours. Are you using a custom guide ie "my EG" or the default EG? Have you tried the default EG?

I can confirm this. At first I thought it was working like L4 Win, but this is still not quite right.

I'll take a look. The only change made to WordByWord this go around, that I'm aware of, is that I removed the code that prevented the verse from expanding until all the words had loaded.

That is why I started this thread. [8-|]

I have tried both with the same result. In fact, L4 seems to hang when I attempt to move away from either EG. In these log files, I had the default EG in a floating window and clicked the close button at 19:47. The log shows some Synch Manager activity, but the pizza keeps spinning. At 20:02 (15 minutes) I gave up and forced a quit. Console Messages & Crash Log show error at 19:47. My log expertise does not extend beyond seeing this.

EDIT: I find 3 instances of L4 still running in the Activity Monitor after force quitting several times. Each one required a Force Quit before they would go away.

I have had that happen where a crash left the program or part of it open. Did closing those, rebooting and reopening L4 help your situation?

Don't tell Robert Pavich that I actually rebooted a Mac while troubleshooting! [:$]
I still did not get any result after clicking a word, but when I attempted to close the My EG pane, L4 crashed.

Hope all these logs will help isolate the problem. I am really, really thankful for LogosLogScribe.

Jack,
I've made a change that should resolve one of the crashers in your logs. Unfortunately, the nature of these things is that it's entirely possible that the subsequent crashes are residual effects of the initial issue (which I believe I've fixed).

Don't worry, Jack, I won't. (We'd never hear the end of it, if he found out. [;)])
BTW My Word-for-Word behaves alright both hover over the Greek and just running EG.

P.S. One of the reasons that I'm not posting so much on the Mac Beta is simply that I'm not having any problems with it. [:D] (But perhaps I'm not pushing it as hard as others need to.)

Hi Alan,
The hover issue is only evident when you set your settings as shown in my post above. Once the word by word populates the hover will work.

OK just let me know when you release the fix and I will try to freeze L4. [:D]

I can claim that some Windows user hacked my account. [8-|]

I was either temporarily insane of drunk. But the best explanation is that someone hacked into my account and posted a fraudulent message.

Logos 4 Mac support page for Crashes includes restarting => http://www.logos.com/mac/support/crashes linked from Wiki page => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Logos_4_Mac_Crashes (with some observations)
Wiki section Slow Performance also suggests restarting Mac => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Slow_Performance
Personally have suggested restarting Mac many times in forum discussions. Typically Mac OS X needs fewer restarts than Windows.
Keep Smiling [:)]
