Word Biblical Commentary on CD is not detected by Logos 4

Evening All,

I have Logos 4 functioning just fine. Bought a CD with WBC on it, expecting Logos 4 to find it when I put in in the CD drive. It didn't, and I tried the "Scan Optical Media" command in Logos 4 but it didn't recognise the command. I then loaded the CD contents by installing the Libronix/Logos 3 software that came with it. Logos 4 still no likey. Registered WBC through Libronix, although it tells me my email address is already used, which makes sense.

I've emailed customer support a few days ago, but was wondering in the mean time if anyone else has a fix in mind.

Thanks, John.

    Hi John

I am not an expert (others may jump in), but it seems to me that you have two options.   You can either use Libronix to install the KEY for the new commentary series and then sync your licenses or call customer support and give them the new key.  If you choose the first, after you sync the licenses in libronix, you will then need to close logos 4 and restart it.

The CD is of no real value in Logos 4 - what is important is the key.

    Good luck.

This may be the key. You may have two Logos accounts and Word is licensed on one and your Logos 4 is on another. The best thing to do is call Customer Service. They should be able to straighten things out and get you going.

    John,

In looking up your accounts, I see that you do have 2 accounts registered with us. One with the
Word Biblical Commentary 59-Volume Set and the other account has the other products you own activated to it. Since that is the case, I have merged these accounts together for you. To get the resources to show up in Logos 4, make sure you are connected to internet, close Logos 4 for approximately 30 seconds before reopening it. When Logos 4 is open, it should let you know that there are new resources to download & start that process.

If that does not work, let me know & I will look into this more for you.

    Thank you,

    Hi Deborah,

I fired up Logos 4 this morning (afternoon to you!) and it started downloading WBC. I'd say you've fixed it. I was just working how to phone international, too.

Thanks heaps, and thanks to the others who posted help as well.
