Sympathetic Highlighting

I have Sympathetic Highlighting clicked in every bible that I have open and yet it consistently does NOT work! This is extremely frustrating. It works once in a while. When it does work, it is VERY slow in responding MOST of the time (again, this is when it DOES work). It does not work most of the time! Logos is very frustrating right now! It was crashing a lot earlier. But I opened Onyx and ran it to clean up some things on my computer and had it repair permissions, and that seemed to help. Plus, I told Snow Leopard to boot up in 64-bit. Logos is running a bit faster, but there are things that are still VERY slow. Please fix!
I have Logos 4.0b SR-2 (4.10.4.8574)

Sympathetic Highlighting use indexes - unable to replicate in Logos 4.0b SR-2 (with indexing completed) - hence wondering if library indexing complete ?
For crashes, wiki page has How to Report Bugs => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#How_to_Report_Bugs_in_Logos_4_Mac
[I] Restart Mac, watch for Blue Logos icon to appear in menu bar, wait for Blue Logos icon to disappear, launch Logos 4 Mac - try highlighting. If highlighting not work, capture screen shot, quit Logos 4 Mac, then do How to Report Bugs steps, begin with opening Finder window in Step 1.
For screen shot, would like to see sympathetic highlighting not working along with visual filter (preferably panels side by side).

Once indexing done, please elaborate SLOW things - would like to try to replicate - Logos development actively seeking SLOW actions so can improve responsiveness.
Do know current Beta release already has some Logos 4 application improvements. Wiki page has Beta information and risks => http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program
Wiki page has couple more items to consider for Slow Performance => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Slow_Performance - Fonts (duplication and conflicts) along with Memory usage.

Logos had recently downloaded the new resource, the Complete Jewish Bible, but it apparently never finished indexing. Kind of strange. I must have interrupted it or something. I checked again and it did not say I had anything left to index. So I tried to highlight again. Nothing happened. I restarted Logos and tried again. Still no sympathetic highlighting. Also, when I click to highlight something, it takes logos a bit to catch up and actually highlight the word. Every so often, when I have the Information tab open, when I hover over a word, the Information tab freezes the whole program and I have to force shut it down. Also, sometimes that tab takes a long time before it catches up. I keep forgetting to create a log file of when logos crashes. I will try to remember to do that.

So, I just put everything back into one window instead of two windows and I also made sure that the word that I was highlighting was actually in the the Hebrew bible, and it is now sympathetic highlighting now. but, everything else that I mentioned is still slow. Also, I think it is curious that it is working now when it is in one window, when just yesterday it was working with two windows open. That is very odd. Logos really needs to be more consistent on the mac side.

Oh and just so you know, the only way that I found out I had anything TO index was when I went to basic search and typed "word" and searched. The blue logos icon did not show up at the top of the screen like it supposed to do. I also had to click "index now" under the "new resources" tab within that search.

Without log files, it will be practically impossible for anyone to help you. See the second link in my signature for information on Logos Log Scribe which will automate the logging process (it's free). I placed the utility in the lower corner of my screen, so all I need to do is double click and go.

How long did you wait before forcing quit. Sometimes, L4 is not really frozen even though the Mac OS indicates that it is. Also, it is best to change your settings on the Information Panel so that it only operates when you actually click on a word. This will speed operations considerably.

The best way to initiate an index rebuild is to type "Rebuild Index" or "Rebuild Bible Index" into the Command Bar at the top of your screen. In your case, you might try rebuilding the Bible index.

Something could be indexer crashing - log files would be helpful. Logos 4 Mac creates or overwrites log files every time Logos 4 Mac is opened (logos4,.log) or Indexer - Blue Icon starts (indexer.log).
Do know some resources crash Indexer - need log file to identify resource issue(s).

Apologies - have not seen "index now" under New Resources - sounds like library indexing not complete, which can cause sympathetic highlighting not to work right.
One support option is calling Logos - web site has business hours and phone # => http://www.logos.com/
Other option is:
1) Restart Mac
2) Watch for Blue Logos icon to appear in menu bar
3) Wait for Blue Logos icon to disappear
4) Launch Logos 4 Mac
5) Try Searching for "word" in entire library
6) If "Index Now" appears under New Resources or search finds 0 results, please close Logos 4, compress Logging folder, reply to this forum, and post Logging.zip file.
Wiki How to Report Bugs has Logging folder location => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#How_to_Report_Bugs_in_Logos_4_Mac

What exactly is sympathetic highlighting>

Hi Nate,
If selected in TAGGED biblical texts, it allows you to highlight an English word and have the underlying Greek or Hebrew word highlight in the respective text. It only works on English Bibles that are tagged such as the Reverse Interlinears: ESV, KJV, NKJV, NLT, LEB etc.

Thanks for Wiki link - sympathetic highlighting can be used with Visual Filter:
In above screen shot, initially highlighted first occurrence of "the Word" in John 1:1 in English Standard Version (ESV), took couple seconds on 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac running Logos 4.0b SR-2 for sympathetic highlighting to appear in Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament (SGNT) and New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95). Clicked in NASB95 panel, sympathetic highlighting disappeared - then highlighted "Word was God" in John 1:1 - took couple seconds for sympathetic highlighting to appear in ESV and SGNT. Clicked in SGNT - sympathetic highlighting disappeared - highlighted "kai" - sympathetic appeared in ESV and NASB95 - captured screen shot. Visual filter Logos Greek Morphology does not highlight conjunctions. Changing panel focus (e.g. click in Word Pictures), causes sympathetic highlighting to disappear - can hover mouse in Word Pictures panel and use mouse scroll to scroll text (keeping panel focus on SGNT and sympathetic highlighting active).
When indexing in progress, Logos displays a message in Search:

I have discovered that when I have two windows open in Logos and have them on separate screens, sympathetic highlighting does NOT work. If I move all the books to one window, sympathetic highlighting works. This happens consistently now.
