Power Point Preparation Improvement

 I know that for images, there is a Powerpoint option, but not for many other things; and I know I can simply copy text and paste it in to PP. But If I want to make slides for a presentation, what is the best way to get the whole content of a window?( ie- an interlinear window - the ribbon style)

For now I can...

A] Choose the window that has what I need B] Hit CTRL + F11 to enlarge it to about the size of a Power Point slide C] Go to the left upper corner and use the SLIDER to enlarge the window  D]  Set up the text the way I need it - to focus on what I want to showcase  E} Use the PRT SC function of Windows F] go to Microsoft Paint G] PASTE onto the screen H] Edit and SELECT, then COPY what I need I] Open Powerpoint and PASTE my work into a slide.

This process must be reproduced each time I create a slide.

Is there a better way? (Can there be? - can Logos create on if it doesn't exist already?)

I didn't know (or forgot) about the CTRL+F11 as I used that for my DESKPINS program. I swapped hot keys to try what you are doing and, like you, found your process tedious. However, it is interesting and saves a whole 5 seconds for cropping a graphic!

I often have several hundred slides per course that I teach and it does take 2 or 3 days to produce that many slides. The only time that I might need to use my graphics editing software (Paint Shop Pro as I've never used MS Paint) is for actual graphics (maps, pictures). If there is text I simply copy and paste, selecting either "source formatting" (helpful with original languages or other emphases) or "keep text only" (helpful when maintaining the text style I have already set up simply by right-clicking the slide view in the small left pane choosing 'duplicate slide,' then pasting the new material over the highlighted old material.).

However, like your efforts, this is a tedious process. Then I have to go back into the slide if I have more than one thought (paragraph or line) and highlight it then choose Animations/Appear. Sometimes I have the previous line disappear so that the second line has more emphasis. Or have a larger map swap to another one on the same slide that shows a more detailed area. I found over the years that any other animation than "appear" is too distracting. I do have a great deal of overlays on many slides, a factor that prohibits printing.

I'm not sure that we'll see a simpler program in my lifetime, but am confident that someone will come up with one!
