Is this (Proclaim Church Presentation Software) the "wonderful thing" Bob hinted about on the forum a few months back?
yup
Meh, this is useless to those of us who adhere the the RPW.
those of us who adhere the the RPW
RPW?
RPW-Regulative Principal of Worship. That which is not prescribed in Scripture is forbidden.
I can't resist - does it exclude central heating, air conditioning and electric lights [:D] Seriously, I can't imagine using it in church services either although it might be useful in classes and retreats. But I assume Logos has done their homework and have a target market for which it will generate excitment.
Oh, I am sure this will be very successful, most of today's evangelicals will eat this up.

Hi Martha & Alan Charles,
In two tiny churches for whom projection is NOT part of the tradition, we've still found it to be a blessing for older eyes. It blessed us in another way we hadn't anticipated. When eyes are lifted up (vs. down at the hymnals), the more joyful stance seems to make the singing & worship a bit more joyful.
WARNING: OFF TOPIC FOLLOWS....
YMMV, of course, but the spirit of the 10 commandments seems to me to to be the opposite of RPW as I understand your explanation... What do I mean? Anything that isn't forbidden is commanded. That's how Jesus can go so far beyond the letter of the law in His exposition in the Sermon on the Mount, & can even summarize the law Love God & Love neighbor--pretty much the opposite of what's forbidden.
That's how Paul can exhort us to worship God with our lives (living sacrifices)...
Nevertheless, I also believe God honors whatever is done for God's glory... and that this appears to be a matter of conscience on which I'm not to judge others that don't feel as free as I do in this area. So I'd be interested to hear the background for RPW... What are the Scriptures behind it? (None come to mind, but that's likely my memory rather than their absence.)
Blessings in your ministry!
I'm still waiting to see dancing, tambourines, and holy kissing in RPW churches.
This sounds like a good "Entire library" search subject..!
Well, it worked. I actually clicked on an article that communicated no real interest of mine in the title just to see what ??? was all about. Marketing guys in big towers in downtown New York pay big money for ideas like this. Before long this is going to be a top thread (assuming everyone else is as gullible and easily manipulated as I am). [;)]
