Footnotes cut off

On the iPhone/iPod app when a footnote is longer than the screen size there is no way to read the entire note.  Is there anything I don't know that allows the ability to read the entire note.  It is frustrating because in some cases the footnotes are very important and contain a good deal of information.  It is the same with reference links to longer passages--the only way is to "jump to reference."  It would be nice if the pop-up info window had scrolling built in (like in another iPod app that is very useful).  Is this feature coming?  Will this be a fix soon??  Thanks.
