No one yet really knows (beyond rumors) what iPad 2 will be like but I would guess the Logos experience on iPad 2 will not be much different than on iPad 1. Like most apps, changes in the iOS device don't mean changes in the app.

I pondered over this too and just decided to go ahead and buy the one that is out now. My main reason for purchasing an Ipad is for Logos so as long as i can get it the device is going to be attached to my side lol.  I have got to wait on it coming now as i ordered it online yesterday.

    Tes,

The iPad will not run Logos 4. Logos has mad an app for its operating system (iOS) that can access most of your books, but not all of them. 65GB should be enough to download books for offline use.

EDIT: check this http://www.logos.com/mobile/ipad for illustrations about what the iPad app can do.

I just ordered my iPad a few months ago, deciding that it was better to start using the app now rather than waiting a few months for the new iPad. New technology is always around the corner, at some point you just have to get what's out there. And since the new iPad is probably at least three months away, I think you made the right choice to go ahead and get what's available now.

And as is mentioned later in this discussion, it is not Logos 4 that you will be running, per se, but an app made specifically for the iPhone/iPad. The app is much more limited than Logos 4 on your Mac or PC, but it is still a useful app to have and I've made good use of it with my iPad.

A couple of rumours which may have a beneficial impact on Logos is:

    1. It will have a higher screen resolution. Not as high as the retina display of the iPhone, but higher than the current iPad.

    2. It will have more processing power.

    Other rumours:

    1. Front and back cameras

    2. An SD card slot

As it is with all these things, you have to take them with a grain of salt... though I would not be surprised if the display is better than the old one. For this reason alone I have been waiting.
