Delay before being able to change colour of a note icon

When I create a note against a Bible reference, often the first thing I do is to change the colour of the icon.

I find that there can be a delay of 5-10 seconds from when the note is created to when the cursor changes from a standard pointer to a finger indicating that I can start to make the change.

Does anyone else see this or understand why it is happening?

It takes 10s for the Timeline state to change to Stopped! But i don't see any Timeline activity when I do a similar thing; I can edit straightaway.

Presumably this activity happens every time you make a note?

Graham ~ Are you still seeing this problem? If you are, developers are requesting more details on how to reproduce the problem, such as how many notes you have, and whether adding notes to a new Notes document has the same delay. Thanks.

Yes I still get this problem, sometimes. It does seem dependent on the number of notes in a notesfile.

If I add a note to a file with about 10 notes it seems to be fine.

If I add a note to a file with about 40 notes I will sometimes get this delay - but its not totally reproducible.

This happened again this morning - I was adding a note to a notesfile which already contained 11 notes.

This was using 4.3 B2

Graham,

Does this problem occur if you have the internet option turned off? If you have not tried that, turn the option off and restart logos. I sometimes experiences delays working in notes and turning the internet off seems to help.

Not being a technical person I cannot say why, but from an enduser perspective the sync process seems to chew up power.
