Map and Atlas Collection

Has anyone created a Map and Atlas collection? For example, I wanted to quickly look at the maps I have in Logos (Platinum) to see the one I want to use for a map of Paul's Second Missionary Journey. I could run a search on that, but I would get articles and other material that I don't want to sift through right now. Ideally, I'd like to just pull up actual maps.

Any help? Any suggestions for a collection? Or maybe a specific search parameter? Thanks in advance!

I have a Collection of Maps defined as title:(map,atlas,chart,geography,"bible and its story"), and when I search on Paul's second missionary journey I see about 5 maps that might be worthwhile.

You can limit the search with a collection** but my query is:-

#image ANDEQUALS "second missionary"

just replace the search text to get different maps.

** there are relevant maps in The ESV Study Bible!

I'm most partial to this one because it's dynamic in ways the other images aren't. But Dave's suggestion is the best way to find images around some general subject, as long as you can come up with the right search terms. Since you're searching for images, you typically don't get an overwhelming number of results.

I seemed to get more results using NEAR over ANDEQUALS, though i'm not sure why.

You might try this strategy with some of the different places Paul visited (Samothrace, Philippi, etc.)

Thanks, Sean. I had never really worked with the Biblical Places. It looks very nice. Do you simple lookup a place that would be near a missionary journey, etc., and then use the small windows on the bottom to pull up the journeys? Is there a video or some documentation on how to use Biblical Places?

The 'go-to' place is Steve's wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Biblical_Places which also includes several videos. Quite good.

For me, I put all the Logos maps, plus miscellaneous maps, charts and 3D illlustrations in my favorites and then named them preceded by their approximate date for sorting. And so, for example, Paul's journeys all group together no matter how named. Takes an hour or so but then it's quite convenient.
