seaching specific words in a Bible

To the one who can help:

I was talking to a logos support rep today who couldn't help me. She said that I should post my question on the forum for help.

I am trying to do a specific search in the NIV bible
for the word "elderly." When I do the search, it gives me not only the
word "elderly" but every references with "elders" in it as well. I
tried not only searching with quotations around the words but also with
parentheses and brackets. I still get the same results.

To get the results I want, how should I search this word?

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Don,

If you click the little arrow at the bottom of the magnifying glass on the search screen you can turn off "match all word forms" which should help.

In the search box, you should see a magnifying glass in the upper left corner. There should be a little arrow pointing down at the bottom right hand of the box with the magnifying glass. Click on that down arrow and you should see a list of options. Uncheck the option to "match all word forms."

That should do it.
