Logos 4 re install

I'm really hoping for help...

I downloaded the new KF upgrade today, but foolishly I copied over my Logos 4 package in my applications folder and now I can't open up Logos 4. I tried downloading the engine, but that hasn't worked and also tonight tried a re install from the DVD I got when I first ordered L4. I got a dialog saying L4 needs to be copied in the applications folder, after this it begins to load and the sign in dialog box appears stays on a bit then disappears but L4 doesn't load up.

Any advice on what I should do now???

Delete Logos Bible Software 4 from the Applications folder.

Re download the engine from http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstallerBeta/Logos4Mac.dmg

Hi Tom,

I was looking at the Wiki on uninstalling Logos and noticed that I don't have the com.logos.LogosIndexer.plist file in my launch agents folder or the com.logos.Logos4Installer.plist in the preferences folder.

I'm guessing this is meaning that it hasn't installed properly??

No, I wouldn't worry about that. Those files are recreated when the app starts up if necessary.

Did you try redownloading from the Beta link? http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstallerBeta/Logos4Mac.dmg

Originally I put in the link to the stable release, which, if you tried to install would crash if you had previously run a Logos 4 Mac Beta.

No worries. I probably should have just replied to myself, because edited posts don't get emailed to followers, only the original post. Glad that got you up and running.

Fortunately, once 4.2a on Mac goes stable, we have a message that is displayed if you try to downgrade to an older version instead of failing silently. It's in the beta currently.
