I would love to see these notes available in Logos. Hope I am not the only one.
I'm in. [Y]
I've been asking for this for years
Me too. +Jewish Study Bible from Oxford.
I don't have any inside information, but I would think that the transition to NIV (2011) would slow this request down, but perhaps not.
(I have used this study Bible in paper for years)
I'm not so sure that I would want to see this produced in Logos.
I have a beautiful leather-bound NIV Study Bible which I've had since 1988. It feels, smells and handles wonderfully. The page layout is exquisite and wonderfully integrated with the biblical text. Here's an example in a screenshot of a scanned page.
If the ESV Study Bible is anything to go by, all you get is a commentary which is not integrated to the text, as in this screenshot. As a result I hardly use it. After all it's not much different from the commentaries I already have.
The reading experience just doesn't compare. The printed layout works much better as it integrates text, cross-references, notes and illustrations. Yes, I know that I can set up Biblical People, Place and Things, Maps, Notes and Cross-references to provide something similar, but the integrated simplicity of the printed page takes some beating. I would only be tempted to order a Logos NIV Study Bible, if it had that integration built-in.
Alan, may be you would like to try this: [:)]

Thanks for that. I've obviously delved into the wrong bits before and dismissed it as a pale shadow of what it really is. [:S]
Mind you, the smell and feel of leather …
Every blessing

YES, Lovely Luxurious Leather
Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I have a couple of those at home (KJV Thomson Chain Reference Bible, NIV Thomson, NET First Edition, all great leader bound BIG Bibles... and... not using them much recently. Notebook and iPhone, that's all what I carry with me all the time.
But hey, you can have an iPad and a nice leather case for that. What about that?
Should smell all right [:D]

No Joke, this is part of the reason I paid the extra $20 or whatever to add the leather wrap to my Dell XPS16 :-)
NOTHING compares however to the heady aroma of opening the box on a leather Bible, the mingled scent of leather, tanning, paper and ink all combine to craft the most scintillating cocktail of aroma. The second runner up is a well kept library, I could breathe in there all day.
Hey, Thomas, behave, we are on the Logos forum! [:O]
