BUG: "Preparing your library" continuously running

When attempting to run Logos 4, my computer gets to "preparing your library" and hangs there. I have read through different threads and attempted to follow those directions for logging the problem and have even attempted a few simple solutions. This has not lead to any success. Below are attached my file logs, and I am hopeful to find a solution.
When the program has hung, I have looked at my Task Manager to see if the program had crashed or was still running. I did notice that if I ended the Logos4Indexer process, the program would load and run seemingly fine.
My system specs (as I know them)
Vista 32 bit | Dell Vostro 1710 | 3.4 Windows Experience Index: Unrated | Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5870 @2.00 GHz | 3.00 GB RAM

Welcome to the forums, Charles.
The problem arises when attempting to replace the library catalogue index at C:\Users\Pastor\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\dmg12t1i.kse\LibraryCatalog\. Another program could be interfering or maybe a disk issue. Try:
- telling your security suite or real-time backup program to ignore the \Logos4 folder
- scanning the hard drive for bad sectors (on the right click menu for a drive)

Thanks, Dave!
I added the \Logos4 folder to my ESET Security Suite ignore folders, and scheduled a check of my hard drive for the next reboot.
Just adding the folder to the ignore list has not seemed to change the problem. I still get the "Preparing your library (Stage 2 of 3)" message in the toolbar.
I will reboot and report as I know information!

If none of those are the problem then
- Rename the \LibraryCatalog folder eg. \oldCatalog (or delete to Recycle bin); and
- restart L4

My Logos4 also often says Preparing your Library, but calms down after a minute or 2 and works normally

That is working normally, but there is a definite problem here!

Dave,
The checkdisk brought back no problems (good to know!).
I went to your next step - delete the \LibraryCatalog folder - and when I restarted it took a while, but eventually loaded, indexed and did its thing.
I then cautiously closed L4 and restarted again, and SUCCESS!
Thank you much for the assistance.
Yours for them because of HIM,

Renaming \libraryCatalog folder solution works for Logos5/Windows 7 also, after closing all Logos related processes.
The catalog is located at "C:\Users\USERX\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\3e4xm3qh.0y5". The last folder name may vary by installation.
