Are you referring to the superscript letters/numbers appearing when "Bible Text Only" is enabled on the Visual Filter drop-down, even though they don't appear in the text itself?

Edit: Actually, I see in your screenshot that the ESV doesn't have "Bible Text Only" (BTO) enabled, so this is correct behavior. If you don't want those letters or numbers to appear in the pasted text, either enable BTO in the resource or disable "Copy Footnotes" in Program Settings.

Yeah, but "Search this resource" should ignore the footnotes all the time, regardless of whether BTO is on or not. There's no case where it would be helpful to have them included in the search, and there's no setting in Program Settings to have them ignored in searches as there is for Copy Footnotes.

That's a different issue, which I believe has previously been reported. Superscript footnote letters/numbers may be desirable when copying and pasting text, which is why they appear. However, if Search is selected rather than Copy, they should be ignored. If we don't have an open case on that, I'll file one.
