Logos location

Where is Logos 4 located on the C drive? I wanted to check the amount of GB it was taking. I was wondering if Logos 4 was available for IPad (the full version of Logos 4). The IPad holds 60 GB.

I think that depends on which OS you are using. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, and mine is located at
C:\**name**\AppData\Local\Logos4

Wiki has Resource paths => http://wiki.logos.com/An_update_is_downloading,_what_is_it#Check_Resources
iPhone/iPad forum => http://community.logos.com/forums/74.aspx has Logos 1.6.# Release Notes - desktop Logos 4 has many more features than Logos 1.6.# application for iPad.

That sounds as though it's L3 rather than L4 which was the original question. My copy of L3 is in the same location as you cite.

George, I think David created a special customary folder on his second HDD G:\ That's why he is able to have it there. I think it is not his main Program Files folder on the disk C:\

As you can tell from the other posts, the L4 program and data is all combined into a single location, unlike L3 used to be. You will find the majority of the space used will be taken by resources and indexes. I have a the Scholars Platinum package with a number of other additional resources and my Data folder takes up just over 11Gb. The remaining portion of the program is very minimal in terms of space so my Logos 4 program size is just inder 12Gb total. Depending on what other prgrams you run on the iPad I would think you should be fine in terms of space.

I think you're correct. I simply assumed that it was the "C:\" drive rather than looking at what he actually wrote. I'm going to need to get my prescription checked. Oh, I forgot that I had lasik surgery so I don't need correction now. [;)] I guess I need to read more carefully. In the forum I just skim quickly, but I guess that's a mistake.

Thanks. So how would you load the complete version on to IPad? There is no DVD slot for IPad and I don't recall loading Logos 4 by DVD. I seemed like I did it all over the internet. Correct?

THere is no Logos4 for iPad. You need to install the Logos App from the iPad App Store.

What OS are you running on your computer?
In Vista and Win 7 it will not be under program files it will be under the User\AppData\Local\Logos4. In Xp it will be under username\LocalSettings\Application Data\Logos4
I am not familiar with the ipad so I cannot say how it would be best to load L4, but I think Logos has an app designed to run on the iPad. You may want to check the mac forums for that one.

As I said, there is no Logos4 for the iPad. The only option is the Logos App available in the iPad App Store.
Also, the place for questions re the App are the special iPhone/iPad forum not the Mac forum: http://community.logos.com/forums/74.aspx

I think you and I were posting at the same time earlier. I thought that was the case when I posted and then after it went back to the thread your post confirmed what I thought to be the case. Thanks

Sorry for "sounding" terse.
